OFYFC Launch new website

18 December 2011

Earlier this year as a county we decided that we needed to look at ways of promoting the YFC movement with our overall aim being to increase our membership figures. Having recognised the need to update our current website with a site that was modern, exciting and above all easy to maintain we decided to take the ox by the horns and crack on.

In August with financial support from the Mike Jefferies development fund we approached a company in Cardiff called Spindogs – our objective being to create a new, exciting website for the county. Having seen the website that Spindogs had already produced for Wales YFC - http://www.yfc-wales.org.uk/ , we were comfortable in the knowledge that Spindogs were the correct company to help us create our desired site, and through liaising with the team at county produce a site that effectively portrays the YFC movement.

To support the launch of our new site we also decided to create a new county logo. New OFYFC Logo
Our design was centred on the official meaning of the word Oxford (deriving from Oxen-ford – the place where the oxen could cross the River Thames). To create our logo we enlisted the help of Alistair Mogford, a member’s brother who happens to have a very creative eye.

We’re delighted with the end results of both our new logo and website and would like to express our sincere thanks to both Alastair and Spindogs.

Our new Logo will shortly be making an appearance on county hoodies and polo shirts as well as having prime position on a leaflet about OFYFC and how to get involved which is in production now.
