Oxfordshire Young Farmers Road Run

On Friday 30th March, 54 tractors took to convoy and drove 22 miles in both modern and vintage tractors around the roads of Oxfordshire for a road run
to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and The Fire Fighters Charity. We met at Sutton Courtney for tea and bacon sandwiches kindly cooked by Katy in her burger van. We left the yard at 11am heading towards Abingdon, people came out of shops and tea rooms to watch us drive down the high street waving.

Half way round we stopped at Q Gardens Farm Shop, every driver of a tractor was kindly given a free ice cream by the Farm shop. Despite the cold weather and the rain everyone tucked into a mini egg flavour ice cream. We then headed through Didcot and back towards Sutton Courtney.

When returning to the yard we had a raffle and Katy cooked us some more burgers.

The event was great and we raised a total of £1000.63 for our 2 chosen charities.

We would like to Thank everyone that came and supported the event with Tractors or as spectators and we would like to invite you all back next year, save the date, 19th April 2019.
